1 . Acceptance

1.1 By accessing or using HeatPumpCost.ie (the “Service”), you agree to these Terms of Use.

2 . How HeatPumpCost.ie Works

2.1 HeatPumpCost.ie is a free comparison platform that connects homeowners with select SEAI-registered heat-pump installers (“Suppliers”).
2.2 When you complete our online quiz, your enquiry (the “Lead”) is forwarded to up to three (3) Suppliers that match your location and project details.
2.3 You will immediately receive a confirmation e-mail listing the Suppliers that may contact you. Unless you request otherwise, they may phone, e-mail or SMS you—irrespective of any National Directory Database marketing preference.
2.4 To withdraw or delete your Lead, e-mail [email protected].
2.5 If fewer than three Suppliers can meet your requirements, the confirmation e-mail will state the actual number forwarded (which may be one).

3 . Acceptable Use

3.1 Do not falsely claim affiliation with HeatPumpCost.ie or our partners.
3.2 No unauthorised access, scraping, hacking or introduction of malicious code.
3.3 Do not interfere with other users’ ability to use the Service.
3.4 Impersonation of another person or entity is prohibited.
3.5 We may suspend access for any activity we deem fraudulent, abusive or in breach of these Terms.

4 . Relationship & Liability

4.1 HeatPumpCost.ie only facilitates introductions; we are not a party to any contract between you and a Supplier.
4.2 Suppliers operate independently. We cannot guarantee they will contact you or that they offer the best or cheapest price.
4.3 All agreements, pricing, workmanship, warranties, delivery times and statutory obligations rest solely with the Supplier. Use of the Service is at your own risk.
4.4 We vet Suppliers for SEAI registration, but disclaim liability for their performance.
4.5 We are not liable for delay or failure caused by force-majeure events (e.g., natural disaster, strike, pandemic, cyber-attack).
4.6 You are responsible for any tax, VAT or grant-related matters arising from your contract with a Supplier.

5 . Intellectual Property

5.1 All intellectual-property rights in the Service—including the names “HeatPumpCost”, HeatPumpCost.ie, logos, text and design—belong to Heat Pump Cost.ie
5.2 Use of the Service does not grant you any licence to HPC’s or third-party intellectual-property rights.

6 . Communication

6.1 All communication with HPC is electronic.
6.2 You will not receive marketing e-mails from HPC unless you actively opt-in.
6.3 If contact details you provide are incorrect, HPC may, with your prior consent, update them from publicly available records to complete your enquiry.

7 . Privacy & Data

7.1 The Service complies with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
7.2 Personal data you submit is used only to forward your Lead to relevant Suppliers and for limited analytics described in our [Privacy Policy].
7.3 Full details are set out in our separate Privacy & Cookie Policy, which forms part of these Terms.

8 . Changes to Terms

8.1 HPC may amend these Terms at any time without prior notice. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
8.2 The “Last updated” date at the top of this page indicates the latest revision.

9 . Governing Law & Disputes

9.1 These Terms are governed by the laws of Ireland.
9.2 Parties shall attempt to resolve disputes amicably. Failing that, disputes may be submitted to the Irish courts with exclusive jurisdiction.
